parking is currently designated as the back spaces of the parking lot. Parking may not always be available as a benefit, please inquire at the time of your employment. PERSONAL APPEARANCE The personal appearance of Educomp staff
is important. Although Educomp does not require a uniform or dictate a choice of clothing quality or style, staff are encouraged to dress in a fashion that presents a professional, favorable image of the staff
person and the company to our customers. PURCHASES Staff members are encouraged to purchase products from the company, and are offered prices at 15% off retail except in certain circumstances. Furthermore,
some of our suppliers offer incentives for staff purchases. Items purchased by staff must be for their own use
and benefit of the immediate family, and are not to be sold or used in any other business the employee or anyone else operates. Employees who wish to arrange charge accounts with the company are subject to the same procedures and requirements followed by regular account customers. Terms of all
employee accounts are net 30 days. Educomp will not extend credit to any employee who is delinquent in payments. RELATIONS WITH CUSTOMERS Educomp has made and will continue to make a substantial investment in time, effort and money in the development of business, and in developing
and maintaining relationships with customers and prospective customers. In any and all dealings of any nature with any customers of Eduomp, staff members will conduct him/her self as an agent and representative of
Educomp. A staff person my not solicit or accept any assignment, project or work of any nature with any client, except as an employee of Educomp. SALARY INCREASES Salary increases will be considered annually on or about January 1st and will be based on work
performance and profitability of Educomp. Employees are to be given annual notice in writing as to work performance. SICK LEAVE Upon completion of 12 months full time an employee shall be eligible for one day of
sick leave per month up to a total of ten days for the year. Vacation time may be substituted for sick time.
A Physician's certificate of illness may be requested.
Notification of absence due to illness must be made as early as possible on the first day of absence. SMOKING Educomp offices and store area are a non smoking environment.
TERMINATION It is anticipated that staff will conduct themselves in a professional manner that will contribute to the growth and well being of the company and each staff person.
However, to provide the same ground rules for all employees, certain rules and regulations are necessary to ensure that everyone understands what is expected of them. The rules and regulations have been designed
in a reasonable manner and are based on safety needs, morale factors and the general needs of Educomp in meeting its obligation to its customers. A violation of any of the following regulations and prohibited acts of behavior is sufficient grounds for disciplinary action that may range from a warning to immediate
dismissal, depending on the seriousness of the offense and the circumstances surrounding the infraction.
1. Alcohol or narcotic abuse. 2. Physical or verbal abuse to other staff or customers. 3. Theft of company property or personal property of a co-worker or any form of dishonesty.
4. Deliberate destruction or defacing of company property. 5. Damage to company property through abuse, indifference, neglect or carelessness. 6. Falsifying information on your employment application.
7. Gross insubordination. 8. Gross discourtesy to a customer or fellow employee. 9. Use of profanity in the presence of customers. 10. Excessive unexcused absences. 11. Repeated lateness.
12. Failure to maintain a clean and neat personal appearance. 13. Instigating dissatisfaction among fellow staff people or knocking down the company in the presence of customers. 14. Flagrant violations of company policies and procedures. 15. Accepting gifts or money from vendors or customers.
16. Mis-use of employee charge accounts. 17. Financial exigency of the company.
VACATIONS
The following annual vacations with pay will be granted to all fulltime employees.
